Job Description
|
This opening is for a Software Engineer to work on the Symbian client component using C++ development. This person will be responsible for the client design and implementation which will communicate with the server component developed by the same team. This person will also lead the coordination of the development for other team members on our Device Management product for multiple Symbian platforms.
Requirements:
Fluent in C++.
· Experience developing applications with the Nokia Series 60 and/or UIQ libraries, with 2 years minimum.
· Grasp of the relationships between processes, threads, event queues, and event dispatch and handling mechanisms on Symbian.
· Good working knowledge of Symbian memory management, file systems, I/O, graphics, resource and communications subsystems.
· Understanding of TCP/IP, application protocols (e.g. HTTP, FTP, SMTP) and IP network architectures.
· Development experien! ce on a network client product such as email, news, or SyncML application.
· Experience writing and utilizing executables and client libraries and dlls.
· Object-oriented analysis and design skills.
· Editing, compiling, linking, debugging and profiling skills on a client platform.
· Deep Metrowerks CodeWarrior (or equivalent IDE) experience.
· Standard source-code control and defect tracking skills.
· Experience specifying and documenting a complex software system.
· Ability to lead the coordination of project activities with other developers.
